I am wondering if there is a way to get time sensitive editorial images reviewed more quickly. I just went to a big event and took pictures but wouldn't bother uploading them because by the time they get reviewed (which is quite a wait for editorial) they would be old news.

I have been told that IS is not in the time sensitive editorial business, if you have something like that you should contact Getty.

besides, I doubt they would take the shots if there are any celebrities or venues involved. I was accredited media for the Genies (Canadian Oscars) last night. I have some great close up portraits of Canadian film celebrities, none of which can I upload here.

Stacy ---  FYI --- I have seen lots of celebrety (red carpet type) images go thru the latest uploads here. (There were no celebreties in my shots.)

^ those red carpet images are from Edstock and Edstock2 which are Getty collections, NOT from IS contributors

^ exactly. but any "event" requries proper paperwork and they-- in general--won't touch it from iStock contributors. even when you have accreditation.

^ I even suggested that we include a copy of the accreditation or acceptance letter with the images like we do with model releases, but they keep pushing to Getty.

it should be fair for us as contributors. OR we should be given non-exclusivity as an option for editorial files like vector/audio/video artists. having one foot in and one foot out under the exclusivity requirements makes it very difficult to sell images elsewhere. they've created a situation where we are forced to compete. instead of letting us upload here.

is it really that threatening to have more editorial talent growing within the company rather than outside of it?
