I think this battle is a great idea! I support getting the kids involved and sharing through art. The fact that the cage has been jumping like it hasn't been in years is awesome, but there can be no doubt that the steel cage needs new comers as well as old and not just artists, but indivudals of all talent levels who appreciate the art as well, if it is going to stay active. I think that battles like this can draw people in. I would love to here comments from the kids as this battle thread goes on. Who knows, maybe some brainstorming could even influence the process. People need to get excited about whats happening here. Cagers unite! We need more battle threads and more discussion. Sitemail your creative networks and bring them down to the cage.

darabia, I totally agree! thanks for your comments! We'll definitely get the kids involved. The reason I suggested they won't comment in the forums: they have to either purchase credits or be a contributor. While I'd love it if they purchased credits, I am not holding my breath. During this process, I also hope to educate them on properly using/licensing stock and not "borrowing" (stealing) imagery.

I totally didn't even consider that. I thought it was free to create an account on istock. (Because I have all the experience, having created an account once in 2005.) Maybe you could relay comments?

I want to see kids and robots on fire! That is my constructive criticism Pinky! :P

I wanted to do so much more to this but...honestly....I thought yesterday was monday and I thought I had alot more time and...well....not enough time.    Went for the art deco for the poster.  I think I got some of the style bu.....enough whinng!!!

no, Beat, not me, but really fitting I hadn't seen that before - I have been saying these words (without any sources) for a little while now. The infographics idea is brilliant! Thanks for the idea! Maybe not this round, but I will definitely keep it in mind! thank you!

Kelly, I didn't make this the larger size, but almost everything is a smart object. I had to flatten a few things to rotate (gradients). Let me know if you want the vertical unflattened version.
