why thank you... and if anybody wants to share how to do a bolt of lightening "correctly" please please do! Obviously, I had to fudge it. sadAlso, dearest cagers, I belong to the CCAA (constructive criticism appreciated association) and would really like you guys to comment on my work...negative remarks are very helpful and postiive remarks help me stop crying.

Good start Khami.. I tell you what I understood from the story then you correct me if it's a famous one and I was supposed to know it...A girl wants to work for a carousel owner,  but he suggests her to first look at the mirror, then come back to talk about it..   


I think the best way for you to learn a lot, is when you get 5*'s psd file, you have a close look at all the layers, and how he is building up everything, from those files you'll learn a LOT!

Google some tutorials! Here is one I found, it was one of the first ones that appeared: http://en.terragen.info/tutorials-postwork/lightning.html   but search for some others.

I agree with Bea ^^^^ - just some time and tutorials always help to make a better comp and be thankful for a blow from Tony (that diiint sound right err uh) coz I'm sure there are some layers o' fun for you to investigate.  Besides all that, have fun in here.  This group of people are extremely talented and will become your fam
